Restaurant POS integration: every till sale takes its recipe out of stock

NexusERP is not a till. It is the back office behind one. When your POS sends it a sale, the sale is recorded exactly as if it had been entered in NexusERP: the recipe leaves stock, the cost is frozen at that moment, and the margin is known.

The problem with a till on its own

A POS knows what you sold and for how much. It does not know what the dish cost you, how much flour is left, or why the margin fell. Those answers live in stock and recipes, and a till has neither.

What happens to a sale from your till

The recipe leaves stock

Each line of the sale deducts its recipe’s ingredients from the stock of the site that sold it.

The cost is frozen

The cost of what was sold is recorded at the moment of the sale, so a later price rise does not rewrite last week’s margin.

Never counted twice

A till that loses its connection sends again. A sale that has already been recorded is recognised and not recorded a second time.

Refunds

A refund from the till is recorded against the sale it undoes, and goods that can be sold again go back into stock.

How a till is connected

Each till connects with its own key, issued for your business. The key decides which business the sale belongs to — nothing in the sale can point it at another one — and it can be limited to one site, so the till in one shop cannot move another shop’s stock. A key can be rotated or revoked without touching the others.

Questions

Which tills work with NexusERP?

Any till that can send its sales to the NexusERP API. Tell us which system you use and we will tell you honestly whether it can.

Do I have to change my till?

No. NexusERP sits behind the till you already have; your staff keep using it the same way.

See it on your own figures.

Tell us how many sites you run and what you use today. We will show you the system on a case close to yours.
