Restaurant ERP
Restaurant ERP: stock, recipes and food cost, counted every time something moves
NexusERP is inventory and food cost software for restaurants. Deliveries are scanned in, every dish sold takes its ingredients out of stock to the recipe, and the next morning your food cost is already worked out — per dish and per site. Worked out, not estimated.
The three questions a restaurant ERP has to answer
How much stock do I actually have? What does this dish cost me today, at today’s prices? And where did the margin go this week?
Most restaurants answer them with a stock count done by hand once a month and a food cost percentage worked out from it. By the time the figure arrives, the month it describes is over. NexusERP answers them from the stock movements themselves, as they happen.
What it does
Live restaurant inventory
Stock moves when something happens: a delivery received, a dish sold, a loss written off, a transfer to another site. Not once a month on a clipboard.
Recipe costing
Each recipe is costed from what you actually paid for its ingredients. A recipe can be written in grams while the flour is bought by the kilo; the conversion is done for you, and the screen says which unit each figure is in.
Food cost per dish
Worked out from the stock ledger: per dish, per site, per period. Next to it, the gross margin on what you really sold.
Margin alerts
Set a minimum margin per product. When a supplier raises a price and a dish falls below it, you are told — before the month closes, not after.
Waste and losses
Losses are recorded with a reason and a quantity. Try to write off more than the room holds and it shows you both figures and records nothing.
Receiving
The delivery arrives, somebody scans it with a phone, stock goes up, each lot gets its use-by date, and the invoice waits for your approval.
Your team uses a phone, not the ERP
The management screens are yours. Your team has Nexus Go on a phone: scan, receive, count, record a loss, move stock between sites. It works with no signal — in a cold room, scans queue up and send themselves when the signal comes back.
Everyone sees only their own tasks. A kitchen porter sees no cost, no margin and no purchase price.
A system that refuses to guess
If one ingredient in a recipe has no known cost, NexusERP will not suggest a selling price for that dish: a partial sum is not a total, and a margin worked out from one is always wrong in the direction that loses you money.
When a figure does not exist, the screen shows a dash and explains why. Never a zero, which looks like a real value and reads like good news.
One restaurant or several
Each site keeps its own stock and its own business day, in its own time zone. One product catalogue and one set of recipes are shared by all of them. Stock moves between sites with a transfer note and a signed receipt, and variance can be compared site by site.
Works with your till
A sale can arrive from an outside till (POS). It comes in through the same door as a sale entered in NexusERP: same recipe, same stock movement, same margin, and it is never counted twice.
How the till integration works →Questions
Is NexusERP a POS?
No. NexusERP is the back office: stock, recipes, receiving and food cost. Sales can come in from your till, and each one deducts its recipe from stock like a sale entered here.
Which languages and currencies does it support?
The application is in English, French and Arabic. Each business is set up in its own currency and time zone: dirham (MAD), euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc, US and Canadian dollar, Algerian dinar, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal and Qatari riyal.
How long before it runs?
It depends on your catalogue and your recipes: entering what you sell and what goes into it is the real work, not the install. We open one site at a time, starting with the one that worries you most.
Does it need special hardware?
No. The management screens run in a web browser, and your team uses Nexus Go on their phones, which also scans barcodes with the camera.
