Bakery ERP: recipes, production and cost per piece, worked out from your own stock

NexusERP is bakery management software for bakeries and pastry shops. Recipes are costed from what you really paid for flour, butter and milk; production and sales take their ingredients out of stock; lots carry their use-by dates. The cost of each croissant is a figure, not a guess.

Why a bakery needs more than a spreadsheet

A bakery buys by the sack and the kilo, bakes by the batch and sells by the piece. Between the three, flour, butter and eggs disappear in ways nobody wrote down, and the cost per piece in the spreadsheet was right the day it was typed.

NexusERP keeps all three in one ledger, so what went into the oven, what came out and what was sold add up — or show you exactly where they do not.

What it does

Recipes with a cost per piece

Each recipe is costed from real purchase prices. When butter goes up, the cost of every recipe that uses it goes up with it. Write the recipe in grams and buy by the kilo; the units are converted for you.

Production orders

Record a batch, and the ingredients it used leave stock while the finished products enter it. Yield and process loss are recorded, so a batch that came out short is visible.

What can I bake with what I have?

From the stock on hand and the recipe, NexusERP works out how many of a product you can make before an ingredient runs out.

Lots and use-by dates

Every delivery lot keeps its date. Stock leaves first expired, first out, and a lot binned or sent back to the supplier leaves stock from that lot, not from another one.

Stock at every sale

Every product sold takes its ingredients out of stock to the recipe, whether it was sold on NexusERP or on your till.

Waste you can read

Losses are recorded with a reason, so throwing away is not confused with returning to a supplier — and the waste report you read is about waste.

Scanning in the stockroom, with no signal

Your team uses Nexus Go on a phone: scan a delivery in, count the shelves, record a loss. A carton’s barcode can count as 24 units and a single item’s as one. It works in a stockroom with no signal, and sends everything when the signal comes back.

A system that refuses to guess

A recipe with an ingredient that has no known cost gets no suggested price. A recipe with no ingredients is not live. A figure that does not exist is shown as a dash, with the reason, never as a zero.

Several shops, one set of books

A central bakehouse and its shops each keep their own stock and their own business day. Products and recipes are shared; stock moves between them with a transfer note and a signed receipt.

Questions

Does it work for a pastry shop as well as a bakery?

Yes. Anything made from a recipe and sold by the piece or by weight works the same way: croissants, loaves, cakes, pastries.

Does it replace my till?

No. NexusERP is the back office. Sales from your till can come in and deduct their recipes from stock.

Which languages and currencies?

English, French and Arabic. Each business is set up in its own currency and time zone: dirham (MAD), euro, pound sterling, Swiss franc, US and Canadian dollar, Algerian dinar, UAE dirham, Saudi riyal and Qatari riyal.
